Ingredients
For 2 persons
- Lemon
- 125 piece
- Cinnamon stick
- 0.25 pieces
- Cloves
- 1 pieces
- Red wine
- 250 ml
- Orange
- 0.25 pieces
- Star anise
- 0.5 pieces
- Sugar
- 0.5 tbsp
Preparation
-
Step 1 of 7
Take a (saucepan) and put the red wine in it.
-
Step 2 of 7
Turn the heat on low and make sure it doesn't boil! Otherwise alcohol will disappear.
-
Step 3 of 7
Add the cloves, star anise and cinnamon.
-
Step 4 of 7
Cut both the orange and lemon into wedges and add to the pan. Remember: if you add more orange, the drink becomes sweeter. If you add more lemon, it becomes more sour. So adjust it to your own taste.
-
Step 5 of 7
Now add the sugar, if necessary. Again, add to your own taste. So this can be more or less.
-
Step 6 of 7
Then put the lid on the pan and let it get nice and hot. Leave it like this for at least 15 minutes (without boiling!), that way the flavour will be released properly. Leaving it longer is not a problem, maybe even better!
-
Step 7 of 7
When the mulled wine has acquired the desired flavour, pour it into a wine glass. Tip: do this with a ladle! And enjoy!
