With ginger beer, many people think it is with alcohol, but it is not! Ginger beer is a sweetened and carbonated non-alcoholic drink which is officially made with ginger, yeast and sugar which ferments. In this recipe, we make it with sparkling water, lemon, ginger and cane sugar.
For 2 persons
- Sparkling water
- 250 ml

- Cane sugar
- 15 gr

Grab a long drink glass and a glass (or bowl if you are making for several people at once) to mix in.

Peel and finely grate the ginger in your extra glass/bowl. Add the cane sugar to this.

Clean the lemon and grate the zest into the ginger and cane sugar mixture.

Next, squeeze half the lemon into the mixture.

Finally, add the sparkling water and leave for 10 minutes. Stir this occasionally.

Take the clean long drink glass and put a few ice cubes in it. Pour the mixture through a sieve into the glass.
